"Not in My Tropical Backyard" is the title of a December 30, 2007, New York Times article that looks at three beleaguered projects in Hawaii: The Hawaii Superferry, La'au Point on Molokai, and Turtle Bay in North Shore Oahu. The article seems to infer an anti-toursit sentiment by local NIMBYs.
Unfortunately, the article is found in the travel section of the New York Times. With over 19 million readers, this cannot be good for Hawaii's number one industry: tourism.
